STARTUP PERMIT
When do I need a startup residence permit?
If you want to live and work in the Netherlands as a startup entrepreneur, you need a (temporary) residence permit. A residence permit for a startup gives ambitious entrepreneurs a year to start an innovative company in the Netherlands. During that time, the entrepreneur must be guided by an experienced and recognized facilitator.
How does the application procedure work and where do I apply?
The Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) is responsible for handing out residency permits. After applying and paying the fee, the IND may take up to 90 days to decide. You can find more about the requirements and application procedure here.
Who am I allowed to bring over with me when I use the startup visa?
Your spouse and children can join you in the Netherlands when you obtain a startup visa, and we will help you and your family settle here. Your Co-founders can apply for the startup visa with you as well. In this case, the requirements that apply to you also apply to co-founders.
I’m an entrepreneur from the European Union, do I need a startup visa?
In case you are a citizen of another European Union country, you don’t need a startup visa to set up your business in the Netherlands. However, our services are still meaningful to you in case you need help to set up your startup, such as legal and administrative support, networking, relocation assistance, and other business-related advice. Why should I join Zero to One incubation or acceleration programs?

For how long will Zero to One help me?
Since we work with a tailor-made approach which will be different for every startup, there is no standard duration of our incubation and acceleration program. The duration will depend on a set of factors, for example, your needs and goals. In other words, our goal is to create long-term relationships with our clients.
Do I need to be in the Netherlands to use Zero to One services?
No, you don’t have to be in the Netherlands to join our incubation or acceleration programs. We can help you even when you prefer to stay in your country! However, to receive the startup visa, you will have to be in the Netherlands. Check all the requirements here.
